I wanted to thank everyone who came out the the Evanston Fountain Square Art Show this weekend. It was a delight to see old friends and get to know new people. I thoroughly enjoyed talking photography and art with everyone who stopped by the booth. Although it was windy at times (the gusts on Sunday were pretty bad) and although it rained over night on Saturday, for the most part the weather was quite lovely. The crowds were steady, and looked to be enjoying all the art offered. Thanks, too, to the organizers for their work in putting on a successful show.
I do want to express my sympathies for those artists who sustained damage to their booths during the storm Saturday night and the gusts on Sunday. It’s never easy to see someone’s work and/or booth get damaged.
Thanks again to you all!
John, it was good meeting you at the Art Show in Evanston. Your photos are powerful in their simplicity and your sense of color adds a wonderful richness.

Likewise, Joerg! It was terrific meeting you too. I’ve just checked out your blog and am having a great time exploring your work. I hope to see you again very soon.
Cheers,
John
